Past Works 2000-2004
As a First Nations woman my work has encompassed much change within the scope of style & technique; I feel it is important to relay the many journeys experienced through symbolic imaging. There is a sense of First Nations and Western influence as I have experienced both worlds. These are visuals of intense mastering that have given me flexibility in portrayal of my life in Canada . As in the Mocassin Tellegragh, I communicate through visuals.

Acrylic on canvas, round, depicting the love, nurturing of our children. Family is important as women, they give balance to the family and are peacekeepers and also is done on a drum like canvas portraying the cyclical essence of never-ending unconditional love.

Masked and cloaked with traditional and non traditional imagery.

A picture of my family Fisher-Odjig.

Acrylic on paper, Mother Earth signifies life and a protective quality that sings joy and nurturing and peace to the family. SOLD
